Craft Warriors is a RTS (real time strategy) game that is a mix of Clash of Clans and Minecraft. Your objective in Craft Warriors is to restore the city of Skyland which has become a ruin, this will involve building and defending it from attackers, and conducting looting missions on other towns for riches, plunder, and precious resources which can then be used to construct buildings, upgrade them, and keep earning gold from them.
What makes this game a little different is that as you progress in the game you will be able to unlock an array of characters which you can use to create your own unique units, block by block, and share those designs with other players.
Level Up
At the beginning of the game most of the features will be locked and to unlock them you will need to level up. This is important as leveling up indicates the game progress and allows you to add more facilities and unlock new units. To level up you will need EXP (Experience points) and these can be obtained by restoring facilities, upgrading facilities, and by upgrading units and weapons.
Balance Upgrades
To perform an upgrade you have to tap on the builder icon in the top-right corner of the screen. As you only have limited resources and there is plenty of upgrades to choose from it is advised that you follow the recommended upgrades. It is important that you make you balance the upgrades and don't neglect anything. This means upgrading the storage so you are able to store more resources, upgrading the castle and barrack so you add more defense to your town, improving your town's defense by upgrading the wall, and spending gems to add more builder and blacksmith.
Upgrade Storage
The cost of upgrades and construction will continue to go up as you progress in the game which means the amount of resources you need will also increase. Regardless of how much you loot from a raid you will only be able to keep what you are able to fit in storage, anything else will be wasted. To ensure this does not happen you need to make sure your storages are fully upgraded.
Upgrade Walls
Unlike similar RTS games Craft Warriors does not give you a free reign when designing your town. This is because your objective is to restore the city of Skyland and it already has a fixed wall layout to keep your enemies at bay which you must adhere to. It is extremely important that you fortify these walls by upgrading them as much as you can so you can successfully defend your town.
Upgrade Troops
The opponents you will meet as you advance up the player ladder will become stronger which means you need to ensure your troops are ready to meet the challenge by keeping them upgraded. Since you only have limited resources it is advised that you prioritise your favourite units when upgrading. You will not be able to use troops that are in the process of being upgraded so consider queuing up troop upgrades when you are about to log off from the game.
Upgrade Castle
The upgrades you make to your troops and the structures in your town are dependant on what level your castle is. Basically the higer the level of your castle the more advanced your buildings and soldiers will become. Also, by leveling up your castle will enable you to expand your territory. The castle is the most expensive and time consuming structure to upgrade but it needs to be done whenever possible in order to turn your town into a city.
Re-Arrange Structures Strategically
Although you cannot reposition the walls of your town you will be able to move your structures around and it is important that you take advantage of this to protect your important structures from the enemy. In Craft Warriors your storage buildings are more important than your castle because if they fall you will lose a significant amount of resources. Two good strategies are to either sacrifice your castle by putting it outside or spread your resources out around your town so the enemy troops have to search for them making them susceptible to being picked off by your troops before they can loot them.
Mix Troop Units
There are different types of troops in Craft Warriors and although you may have your favourites it is recommended that you try out different combinations of units to see which ones work best for your play style. You will probably lose a few matches to begin with as this will require a bit of trial and error but it will be worth it in the long run when you find the perfect combination of troops.
Upgrade Airship
Don't neglect your airship which is easy to do as it is often out of sight all the way to the right side of your town. Try to upgrade it whenever you can as its level determines how much loot you can carry and how many troops you can deploy. Basically the higher the level the more you will be able to work with on a raid and the more resources you can return home with.
Dropping Troops
When raiding another town you can choose where you drop your troops off. Although your units will only go in the general direction based where you dropped them you should take the time to formulate a plan beforehand as opposed to dropping them anywhere as this will help ensure a successful raid.
Target Gun Towers
Make taking down the gun towers your first priority when raiding another town as this will greatly reduce the damage your troops will recieve during battle. Once you have eliminated the threat of the towers your troops will be free to search for the enemy's resource buildings that contain gold and mithril.
Stars
Although getting stars during a raid is important to your end game your first priority during the early stages is to get as much resources as possible. Getting stars will not really help you a lot when you are starting out so don't concern yourself with trying to get 3 stars for a raid.
