Anthem is an online multiplayer action role-playing video game that takes place on the wild frontier of Bastion. You play the role of a Freelancer, a mercenary who earns their living battling threats to humanity in Javelins, 9-foot mechanized combat suits of armour that have rocket boosters, lasers, and other implements of destruction. As you explore the surrounding landscape you will discover a world full of futuristic technology and forgotten treasures. The world is also filled with savage beasts and ruthless marauders who are plotting to conquer humanity.

Teamwork

During the early levels of the game when you don't have access to the different abilities that make you a dangerous solo presence it is important that you rely on teamwork and cohesive gameplan with other players when targeting down the enemy.

Don't Solo Queue

Early in the game it is more beneficial to embrace the matchmaking Anthem offers and work alongside the players in your team regardless if there is a massive level discrepancy so that you finish the same mission. You will find the solo queues long and trying to tackle the missions on your own punishing.

Jetpack

You will find that most of the enemies you encounter will be on the ground so take advantage of your jetpack to take to the skies so you can hover above the battlefield and engage them from above.

Ability Cooldowns

Make sure you use your gear abilities early and often. Unlike other games where you are forced to micromanage more powerful abilities you will find that in Anthem their is no lengthy cooldown for them and they do more damage than regular guns.

Fight Mobs

Don't ignore Mobs during early fights, especially if you are low on health. These elite or better enemies are there for a reason, when defeated they will frequently drop ammo and health recovery buffs, which can be crucial in final skirmishes.

Manage Ultimates

Make sure you use a Javelin's ultimate at the right time when its ready to employ. This can be when you need to take a boss down, get away from a dangerous situation or during a fight when healing isn't immediately available.

Visit the Forge

After every mission you will be rewarded with plenty of new loot. Make it a habit to visit the Forge and look through what you have and disassemble anything you don't need for spare parts.

Use your Favourite Weapon

Recipes for will gradually unlock through achievements when you continually use your favourite weapon. These recipes will give the weapon better stats and make it more effective.

Tombs of the Legionnaires

When you reach Tombs of the Legionnaires it is advised that you do it Solo. Achievements are not shared by members of a team so it better to tackle these sub-missions on your own.
